Requirements

  • Previous dental assisting experience preferred; pediatric dental experience is a plus.
  • Current Dental Assistant certifications and radiology certification as required by state regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with children and parents.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.
  • Positive attitude, dependable work ethic, and commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
  • Team members are expected to uphold the culture outlined in the SDB Handbook, with a focus on our core values and any additional responsibilities as defined.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms and assist the dentist during a variety of pediatric dental procedures.
  • Help create a welcoming, comforting experience for pediatric patients and their families.
  • Take and process dental radiographs in accordance with state regulations.
  • Sterilize instruments and maintain treatment rooms to meet infection control and safety standards.
  • Accurately document patient information, treatment notes, and clinical records while supporting efficient patient flow.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.
