About The Position

Victoria Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery is committed to providing high-quality surgical care in a welcoming, professional environment. Our team works together to ensure every patient feels informed, comfortable, and supported throughout their treatment. We are seeking a dependable and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate has previous dental assisting experience and thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment. Oral surgery experience is strongly preferred but not required.

Requirements

• Previous dental assisting experience required
• Current Texas dental assistant registration or ability to obtain it, as applicable
• Familiarity with dental instruments, equipment, and clinical procedures
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Excellent communication and patient-service skills
• Dependable, professional, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Nice To Haves

• Oral surgery experience is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide chairside assistance during oral surgery procedures
• Prepare patients, treatment rooms, instruments, and equipment
• Sterilize instruments and maintain proper infection-control standards
• Take and process dental X-rays as permitted
• Review and update patient information and clinical documentation
• Prepare dental materials and surgical supplies
• Provide patients with preoperative and postoperative instructions
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked clinical area
• Follow all OSHA, HIPAA, safety, and sanitation requirements
• Collaborate with clinical and front-office team members to support an efficient patient experience
