James Island Dentistry is adding to the team and now hiring a Full Time Dental Assistant in Charleston, South Carolina. The practice is close to downtown Charleston and a lot of restaurants and shops in the area. The team at James Island Dentistry is long tenured and well collaborated together! Serving the James Island and Charleston community, our experienced team offers comprehensive services ranging from preventive and family dentistry to cosmetic, restorative, implant, periodontal, and oral surgery care—all under one roof. Requirements
- Dental Assistant training/school certification
- Radiology certification
- At least 2 years of General practice dental assisting clinical experience
- Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods
- Understanding of health & safety regulations
- Experience with digital software, experience with Denticon a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Knowlege of scanning, basic assisting duties, intra-oral camera and good communicator
Nice To Haves
- Preferred experience with concentration on cosmetic, oral surgery, and periodontal surgeries
Responsibilities
- Assist the Dentists chairside
- Welcomes patients
- Prepares patients for treatments or checkups ensuring comfort
- Selection and setup of instrumentation, equipment and other dental materials as needed
- Instrument sterilization according to regulations
- Maintains accurate patient records
- Lab tasks as instructed
- Provide post-operative care instructions
- Maintain clean and stocked operatories
