About The Position
Join a Long-Standing Family Practice in Boise, ID! Carter Family Dentistry, established in 1973, has a rich 50+ year history of delivering compassionate, high-quality oral healthcare to generations of families across the Treasure Valley. Operating out of a spacious 7-operatory practice in Boise, our close-knit team prides itself on a supportive, patient-centered environment. With an associate doctor joining our practice in the coming months, we are expanding our clinical team! We are looking for a dedicated Dental Assistant with at least 1 year of experience who is ready to grow with a stable, long-running family practice.
Requirements
- 1+ years of clinical dental assisting experience (Required).
- Proficient in chairside assisting techniques, instrument sterilization, digital X-rays, and dental terminology.
- High dependability, strong team orientation, empathetic communication skills, and a positive attitude.
Nice To Haves
- Active Dental Radiography (X-Ray) Certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with our doctors during general, restorative, and preventive dental procedures.
- Seat patients warmly, review medical histories, explain treatment steps, and maintain a comforting, reassuring chairside presence.
- Take clear, diagnostic digital dental X-rays efficiently.
- Prepare, sanitize, and break down treatment operatories; sterilize instruments in accordance with safety and OSHA guidelines.
- Assist with clinical charting, maintain dental supply inventory, and partner with front desk staff to optimize daily patient flow.
