About The Position

United Dental Corporation is seeking an experienced Specialty Dental Assistant to join our team. This position supports advanced dental procedures, including implant surgery, endodontic treatment, and oral surgery, while delivering an exceptional patient experience in a fast-paced clinical environment. We are looking for a highly organized, clinically skilled assistant who is comfortable anticipating provider needs, maintaining surgical protocols, and supporting patients throughout complex treatment.

Requirements

  • Active Dental Assistant certification (as required by state)
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification
  • Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience
  • Experience assisting with: Dental implants, Root canal therapy (Endodontics), Wisdom tooth extractions and oral surgery
  • Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterile technique
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with CBCT imaging
  • Experience with IV sedation or surgical sedation protocols (if applicable)
  • Experience with digital scanning and intraoral scanners
  • Experience in periodontal, oral surgery, or specialty practices
  • Familiarity with implant restorative workflows
  • Experience with dental practice management software

Responsibilities

  • Preparing operatories for specialty procedures
  • Assisting with implant placement and restorative procedures
  • Supporting root canal therapy and endodontic procedures
  • Assisting with wisdom tooth extractions and oral surgery
  • Preparing surgical instruments and maintaining sterile technique
  • Taking diagnostic radiographs and CBCT imaging (if applicable)
  • Providing patient education and post-operative instructions
  • Maintaining accurate clinical documentation
  • Collaborating with doctors and team members to ensure efficient patient care
  • Chairside assist during implant placement and restoration procedures
  • Assist with root canal therapy and endodontic treatment
  • Support wisdom tooth extractions and other surgical procedures
  • Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments
  • Set up and break down operatories efficiently
  • Manage instruments, materials, and specialty equipment
  • Obtain radiographs and assist with diagnostic imaging
  • Educate patients on pre-operative and post-operative care
  • Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation
  • Follow OSHA, CDC, and infection control protocols
  • Support daily clinical operations and patient flow
