Requirements
- Must maintain and hold a current certification in Basic Life Support (CPR)
- Must have formal training as a dental assistant
- Have at least two years of documented experience
- Must obtain the required continuing education to maintain the certification
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Assist in maintaining accountability and sterilization of instruments
- Become proficient in BEMR (the electronic medical records)
- Perform tasks deemed necessary by the dentist while adhering to the general practice of a Dental Assistant
