About The Position

Platinum Dental is seeking a traveling Endodontic Dental Assistant to support its dental team and provide an exceptional patient experience. The role involves assisting the dentist with clinical procedures, preparing patients and treatment areas, maintaining instruments and supplies, and supporting office operations. The schedule is 2–3 Mondays per month, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The position pays $24–$26 per hour. Travel expenses are reimbursed. Dental insurance and a 401(k) with company match are available to full-time employees working more than 30 hours per week.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a dental assistant in a specialty such as endodontics.
• Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
• Understanding of health and safety regulations.
• Good computer skills.
• Excellent communication and people skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and organization.
• Well-organized and reliable.
• X-ray certification.

Nice To Haves

• Ability to perform regulated non-surgical tasks such as coronal polishing.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients to the dental office.
• Prepare patients for treatments.
• Select and set up instruments, equipment, and materials needed for treatment.
• Sterilize instruments according to regulations.
• Assist the dentist through four-handed dentistry.
• Undertake laboratory tasks as instructed.
• Provide post-operative care instructions.
• Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked.
• Schedule appointments.
• Maintain accurate patient records.
