Established in 1975, Non-Profit Yakima Neighborhood Health Services serves patients in the areas of Behavioral Health, Family Dentistry, Internal Medicine, Women’s Health, Primary Care, Pediatrics, Vision Care and Pharmacy. Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Completion of Dental Assistant program from an accredited program required.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check in relation to the position applied for.
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assists dentists in four-handed dentistry procedures.
- Prepares patients for examination and treatment.
- Takes patient histories and vitals.
- Prepares dental operatories with necessary instruments.
- Provide oral hygiene instruction and education to patients.
- Attend to patients, providing comfort and behavior management.
- Prepares and maintains operatories with adequate level of supplies.
- Assist with patient follow‑up activities, including referrals, recall and other patient needs.
- Assist other dental services staff with patient flow as needed and/or directed.
- Maintain proper sanitation standards, both with cleaning and sterilization procedures of patient facilities and instruments.
