About The Position
All Care Health Center’s mission is to provide affordable, comprehensive, high-quality health services. A typical schedule is Monday- Friday: 7:30am- 5:00pm, with one late night until 7:00pm, and a rotating Saturday schedule of 7:30am-12:00pm. Pay offer is based on education, certification and experience: Non-certified DA range: $18-20. Certified DA range: $21-25.
Requirements
- Active Dental Assisting Certificate in the state of Iowa
- Iowa Radiology Certification, or ability to acquire within 6 months of hire
Nice To Haves
- Sterilization Certification a plus
- Previous training and experience in dental assisting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Prepares, cleans, and sets up operatories for patient appointments
- Takes and mounts dental radiographs (x-rays)
- Prepares sterile instruments and equipment
- Prepares patients for their appointment and discharge
- Asks about patient's medical history
- Takes blood pressure and pulse
- Performs dental assistant duties per provider workflow and practice
- Provides and assists with patient discharge
- Provides patients with instruction for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedure
- Registers patients for appointment, if necessary
- Assists with documentation for accurate billing and charting
