About The Position

The Atlanta Dental Center is seeking an experienced and dedicated Dental Assistant to join their fast-paced clinical environment. The practice, established in 1982, utilizes the latest dental technology, including CEREC, 3D X-Rays, Digital X-Rays, Advanced Oral Photography, paperless patient charts, dynamic surgical guidance with X-NAV, endodontic lasers, FastBraces, and Invisalign. The role offers opportunities to learn advanced procedures such as implants, full-mouth implant-supported dentures (hybrid), full-mouth restoration, and full-mouth cosmetic makeovers. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience working chairside as a Dental Assistant.
Knowledge of basic dental terms and tools.
Ability to take a full set of X-rays (FMX) without help.
CPR certified.
Ability to perform the following tasks without help: Packing cord, fabricating cosmetic anterior and posterior temporary restorations.
Knowledgeable assisting chairside with resin fillings, crown and bridge, and endodontics.

Nice To Haves

Orthodontic skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

Provide brisk and expedient dental-assisting during procedures.
Ensure patient and Doctor comfort during treatment.
Deliver high-quality service.
Assist the Doctor swiftly and efficiently through procedures.
Keep instruments clean and sterilized.
Properly set up trays.
Ensure rooms are fully stocked and 'Dr. Ready'.
Maintain a clean operatory.
Take and load digital X-rays into the computer, making them readily available for the Doctor's diagnosis.
Ensure a happy patient who is efficiently seated and dismissed.
Ensure the Doctor has everything needed to treat a patient at their fingertips.
Maintain an orderly chart containing X-rays, administrative documents, and full records of all procedures carried out.
