About The Position

The Dental Assistant works with the dentists in providing dental treatment and care to patients of Access Community Health Centers. The Dental Assistant will work effectively on a team and communicate respectfully based on shared goals and mutual respect. They will accurately update the dental record and document treatment that occurred during the visit. The Dental Assistant prepares the examination rooms by ensuring all necessary equipment is ready for the dentist. They also assist the dentist during their procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs throughout the appointment. The Dental Assistant ensures that patients flow through the treatment processes quickly and efficiently following consistent processes, while also delivering great experiences through compassionate interaction.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Certificate in dental assisting from an accredited technical college or 6 months of dental assisting experience
  • BLS certification

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with EPIC or other electronic health record software system
  • Fluency in English and Spanish or English and Hmong
