They are seeking a dependable, friendly, and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join their growing dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dentist in providing exceptional patient care while ensuring a comfortable and efficient clinical environment. The Dental Assistant will also assist with scheduling, inventory management, and other administrative duties as needed. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Current Radiation Safety (X-Ray) certification required (if applicable)
  • Current CPR/BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Proof of MMR and Varicella vaccinations or titers
  • Proof of TB/PPD or Chest X-ray within the past 12 months
  • Current Annual Health Clearance
  • Reliable source of transportation
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident (green card holder), or hold a valid and active U.S. work visa that permits employment without the need for employer sponsorship.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant program preferred
  • Current Dental Assistant certification or registration as required by state regulations
  • Minimum of one (1) year of Dental Assistant experience preferred
  • Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, procedures, and infection control practices
  • Experience with dental practice management software and electronic health records preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach

Responsibilities

  • Greet and prepare patients for dental examinations and procedures
  • Review and update patient medical and dental histories
  • Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all instruments and materials are readily available
  • Assist the dentist during examinations, restorative procedures, oral surgeries, and other dental treatments
  • Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays) in accordance with state regulations
  • Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment following infection control protocols
  • Perform chairside duties, including suctioning, instrument transfer, and patient comfort measures
  • Provide patients with post-treatment instructions and oral hygiene education
  • Take dental impressions, fabricate temporary restorations, and perform expanded duties as permitted by state regulations
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering dental supplies
  • Schedule appointments and support front-office operations as needed
  • Adhere to OSHA, CDC, HIPAA, and infection prevention guidelines to ensure patient and staff safety
