About The Position
Professional Care Dental Services PC is a physician-founded, privately owned/operated, nationally accredited correctional health care practice. Correctional medicine is a challenging and exciting opportunity for today’s dental professional, allowing you to truly utilize all your learned skills and knowledge. It is the perfect hybrid of Outpatient and Urgent/Emergency Dentistry, serving an underserved and extremely diverse patient population. We are currently recruiting for a Part-Time Dental Assistant to join our team at the Monroe County Jail in Rochester, NY. This position is 4 days per week, Monday - Thursday, providing up to 32 hours of on-site dental care weekly.
Requirements
- Licensed dental assistant in the state of New York
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to develop a trusting relationship with patients/inmates
- Ability to monitor, observe and document patients
Nice To Haves
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in dental assistant from an accredited college or university
- Two years minimum of experience in the field
