Dental Assistant - Neuse CI
About The Position
This position is located at Neuse Correctional Institution, Goldsboro, NC. Neuse is a medium-custody prison housing male offenders. The dental section serves as the hub for oral healthcare for the male offender population. The facility is designed to house a maximum capacity of 788 offenders. Positions at this level perform job functions to include but are not limited to assisting a licensed dentist in the delivery of dental care to the offender population. This includes chair side assisting with four-handed dentistry, other duties include scheduling appointments, maintenance of equipment, maintaining supplies, dental operatory prep. This position will be expected to observe and carry out infection control rules and regulations, adhere to barrier techniques and use proper disposal methods for all biohazard materials.
Requirements
- Completion of a dental assistant program from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of on-the-job training as a dental assistant and required x-ray training when needed; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
