OWL Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics is growing and is looking for an experienced, versatile Dental Assistant who enjoys variety, loves working with children, and takes pride in creating a great experience for every patient and family. Requirements

Previous dental assisting experience
Enjoy working with children and families
Ability to stay calm and positive in a busy environment
Good communication skills with doctors, teammates, patients, and parents
Dependable, organized, and willing to pitch in
Ability to work with children of different ages, personalities, and abilities
Enjoy learning and are excited about expanding clinical skills

Nice To Haves

Experience with pediatric dentistry
Experience with orthodontics
Coronal polishing
Sealants
Nitrous oxide monitoring
Preferred certifications (though experience, attitude, and willingness to learn are valued)

Responsibilities

Assist pediatric and orthodontic doctors during a variety of procedures
Prepare treatment rooms and maintain a clean, organized clinical environment
Support sterilization and infection-control protocols
Help children feel safe, comfortable, and even excited about their dental visits
Communicate with parents and patients about treatment, home care, and post-operative instructions
Take accurate clinical notes and follow established practice protocols
Anticipate the needs of the doctor and clinical team
Help keep patient flow moving efficiently throughout the day
Jump in wherever needed to support teammates
