About The Position

AMI is seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to support operations at the Branch Health Clinic in Everett, WA, an associated clinic of Naval Hospital Bremerton. In this role, you'll provide essential chairside assistance, support clinical operations, and help ensure an efficient, patient-centered dental environment that meets Navy and federal healthcare standards. Requirements

  • CODA-accredited dental assisting program + 12 months recent experience
  • Military dental assistant training + 12 months recent experience
  • Red Cross Dental Assistant certification + 12 months recent experience
  • 36 months recent dental assisting experience (private or military setting)
  • Active AADA membership + required experience
  • Recent graduate (within 12 months) of a state-accredited dental program
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Current radiography certification required
  • Active license required
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and multitasking ability
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and dental software systems
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment

Responsibilities

  • Assist dentists during a wide range of procedures, including restorative, surgical, endodontic, and periodontal treatments
  • Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain equipment
  • Record patient medical/dental histories and document procedures accurately
  • Take dental radiographs and assist with minor equipment maintenance
  • Perform intra-oral duties such as impressions, suture removal, and placement of dental materials (as directed)
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
  • Schedule patients and manage workflow using Dentrix/MHS Genesis systems
  • Support lab tasks such as pouring and trimming models
