Requirements
- At least 1 year of prior dental assistance experience
- Experience assisting an Endodontist, Periodontist and/or Oral Surgeon
- CPR certification
- Proficiency with taking digital x-rays
- Strong communication skills, team spirit, and patient-first mentality
Nice To Haves
- Certification from an accredited Dental Assistant program
- Current NY State Dental Assistant license or DANB CDA/ICE/RHS
- Working knowledge of Denticon and digital radiography
Responsibilities
- Create a warm and comfortable environment for patients from check-in to checkout
- Prepare treatment rooms and assist during chairside procedures
- Take high-quality digital x-rays and ensure accurate charting and recordkeeping
- Sterilize instruments and maintain operatory cleanliness in accordance with OSHA guidelines
- Educate patients on post-op care and oral hygiene techniques
- Manage inventory and ensure supplies are stocked and maintained
- Support administrative flow as needed to enhance patient care delivery
