About The Position
Noble Community Clinics is seeking a Casual Dental Assistant to join their team in Manitowoc, WI. This role is crucial in enhancing the efficiency of the dental office and creating a relaxed, friendly, and welcoming environment for patients. The Dental Assistant will support both the dentist and patients with a variety of tasks, ensuring a positive patient experience. Noble Community Clinics is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with a mission to provide high-quality, accessible healthcare and foster the well-being of patients, staff, and communities.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Graduation from a Dental Assistant training program/technical school.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages and backgrounds.
Nice To Haves
- A minimum of 1 year's experience working as a Dental Assistant is desired.
- Additional training may substitute for required experience.
Responsibilities
- Support both the dentist and patients with a variety of tasks.
- Assist with patient preparation, providing comfort and explaining procedures.
- Offer clinical support during dental procedures by handing instruments, suctioning, and managing dental materials.
- Perform administrative tasks including scheduling appointments and managing patient records.
- Ensure instruments are properly sterilized, and that the treatment area is clean and organized.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post treatment care.
- Expose and develop diagnostic dental x-rays and perform routine maintenance and cleaning of dental operatory equipment.
