About The Position

We are seeking a reliable and patient-focused Dental Assistant to support our clinical team. This role provides chair-side assistance, prepares patients for treatment, maintains a clean and organized work environment, and helps ensure a smooth patient experience from start to finish. This is a full-time position. Monday to Friday (8 hours/day with time for lunch). Please send us your resume and professional references. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • DANB CDA certification required (Certified Dental Assistant – CDA) or willingness to obtain within.
  • Strong communication skills with ability to explain procedures clearly and reassure patients.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Calm, professional demeanor, especially with anxious patients.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Commitment to patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPPA.
  • Follow strict protocols for infection control.
  • Prolonged sitting or standing and leaning over patients.
  • Repetitive hand and wrist movements
  • Fine motor skills required for precision tasks.
  • Exposure to bodily fluids and infectious material.
  • Use of electronic health records (EHR) systems and computers for documentation.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous dental assisting experience preferred.
  • Completion of an ADA-accredited dental assisting program is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during procedures (fillings, crowns, and extractions).
  • Pass instruments and operating suction.
  • Take digital x-rays and impressions.
  • Welcome patients and review health histories.
  • Record vitals and prepare patients for treatment.
  • Check on the patient’s comfort during treatment and help alleviate any anxiety.
  • Sterilize dental instruments and disinfect treatment rooms
  • Follow OSHA and infection control policies.
  • Maintain accurate patient records while ensuring HIPPA compliance.
  • Review and help manage the daily schedule.
  • Monitor and order supplies
  • Keep treatment rooms stocked and organized.
  • Store instruments and trays in appropriate places.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the dentist.
