About The Position

We’re currently looking for a Specialty Dental Assistant to join our Castle Dental team in the Nashville market. This is a part-time position, traveling throughout the market supporting our Periodontist. An ideal role for someone who enjoys variety, flexibility, and working across multiple teams and office environments.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of dental assisting experience (Specialty experience preferred)
- Meet the state-specific Registered Dental Assistant credentialing requirements
- Dental Radiology Certification (X-Ray)
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
- Knowledge of dental terminology, infection control protocols, and OSHA/HIPAA standards
- Strong communication and commitment to excellent patient care
Nice To Haves
- Specialty experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during exams and procedures, ensuring efficiency and patient comfort
- Take and develop dental X-rays as needed
- Sterilize and prepare instruments and treatment rooms following infection control protocols
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-treatment care, and dental procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records and update charts
