About The Position

Children's Dental Center of New Hampshire is looking for a Dental Assistant in Amherst, New Hampshire to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment. Position Overview:As a Dental Assistant you are an integral part of care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. What we offer: Competitive hourly pay $23Min-$26Max Full time: Mon-Fri Monday- Thursday 8:00 AM – 5: 00 PM and Friday 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM Summer hours will be running 6/29/26-8/24/26 for Monday to Thursday only - 7:00 AM / 7:30 AM to 3:30 / 4:00 PM with ½ hour lunch. Requirements

  • Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program OR 1 year of experienece
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray certification Preferred
  • Certified Orthodontic Assistant - Preferred
  • Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended

Responsibilities

  • Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
  • Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
  • Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations..
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
  • Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
