Requirements
- Certificate from an accredited Dental Assisting Program
- Current Healthcare Provider CPR/BLS Certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care
Nice To Haves
- Previous dental assisting experience
- Expanded Function Dental Auxiliary (EFDA) Certification
- X-Ray Certification
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) credential, where applicable
Responsibilities
- Assisting dentists during a variety of dental procedures
- Preparing treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient care
- Taking and processing dental radiographs as permitted by state regulations
- Maintaining accurate patient records and clinical documentation
- Educating patients on oral health and post-treatment care
- Ensuring compliance with infection control and safety protocols
- Creating a welcoming, professional, and comfortable environment for patients
- Collaborating with providers and team members to support efficient office operations
