We are seeking Dental Assistants who are passionate about working with children to be a part of our School Based Dental Program in the BALTIMORE City School District. Our program provides preventative and comprehensive dental care to children ages 5 to 18, in a safe and familiar environment. Services include oral health education, routine exams and cleanings, dental fillings, sealants, and fluoride treatments. This is a wonderful opportunity for those who enjoy working with children and would like to positively impact them in learning about good oral health. Requirements
- Certified or Registered Dental Assistant with x-Ray Certification
- Able to work with portable/mobile equipment
- Familiarity with computers and dental software
- Valid driver’s license, reliable/own transportation, and willingness to travel locally
- Able to work well with children
- Passionate, friendly, and caring individual
Nice To Haves
- Two (2) years of experience working chair side preferred
- Prior Pediatric Dentistry experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Assist with set-up and breakdown of treatment room.
- Prepare patient, instruments, and materials.
- Sterilization of all equipment.
- Take/process x-Rays using digital Radiography equipment.
- Assist in 4-handed dentistry.
- Any other duties, as assigned.
