About The Position
Van Scoyoc Periodontics & Implants is hiring a Dental Assistant to provide hands-on, patient-centered care in a warm and welcoming environment. The role involves supporting the doctor during procedures, helping with diagnostic and clinical preparation tasks, and creating a calm, comfortable experience for patients. The position requires travel between the practice’s Southern Pines and Sanford, North Carolina offices. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Pay is $25–$27 per hour. The practice emphasizes collaboration, communication, clinical excellence, and opportunities for career growth. New hires must pass a full-panel drug screening; the workplace is drug- and alcohol-free.
Requirements
- Dental Assisting certificate or experience.
- At least 1 year of hands-on chairside experience.
- X-ray certification.
- CPR certification.
- Strong attention to detail and a positive, team-oriented mindset.
- Pass a full-panel drug screening as a condition of employment.
Responsibilities
- Support the doctor chairside during procedures.
- Take radiographs and assist with impressions.
- Set up operatory equipment.
- Provide a calm and comfortable environment for patients.
- Travel between the Van Scoyoc offices in Southern Pines and Sanford, North Carolina.
