Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; dental assisting certification preferred
  • Proven experience as a dental assistant or in a similar role
  • Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and sterilization techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with dental practice management software
  • Certification in CPR

Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to ensure a clean and safe environment
  • Assist dentists during various dental procedures, including exams, fillings, and cleanings
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed
  • Manage patient records and update dental histories accurately
  • Provide patients with post-treatment instructions and answer their questions
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently
  • Maintain inventory of dental supplies and order materials as necessary
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and infection control protocols
