About The Position

The Dental Assistant works energetically to improve and secure CHCL as the medical and dental home for our clients. Under the general supervision of a Dental Director and the Site Manager, the Dental Assistant provides chair side assistance and support for the Dentist; performs such procedures as x-rays and sterilization of dental instruments; and provides dental education, especially to children and their parents or caregivers.

Requirements

High School graduation or GED equivalent.
Texas RDA Certificate.
Extensive radiology experience or a Radiology Certificate from the State of Texas.
Must be qualified in BLS techniques.
English; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Knowledge of basic dental instruments, equipment and dental materials
Knowledge of basic dental terminology

Nice To Haves

One year experience as a chair side assistant preferred.
One year experience in ordering and maintaining supplies preferred.
New Dental Assistants are welcomed to apply.
