About The Position

Gentle Dental is hiring a compassionate, motivated Dental Assistant for a new dental practice in Roseburg, Oregon, anticipated to open in January 2027. The role offers an opportunity to help establish the practice, build relationships with providers, teammates, and patients, and contribute to a supportive, patient-focused environment. The Dental Assistant will work alongside dental professionals focused on collaboration and quality care.

Requirements

• Certificate from a Dental Assisting Program.
• Current healthcare provider CPR/BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

• Previous dental assisting experience.
• Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification.
• Dental X-ray certification.
• Bilingual Spanish skills.
• Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) credential, where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for patient care.
• Take dental radiographs and perform expanded functions as permitted by certifications.
• Educate patients on oral health, treatment procedures, and post-operative care.
• Maintain infection control and sterilization standards.
• Work with providers and teammates to support efficient patient flow and a positive patient experience.
