Requirements

• At least 1 year of prior dental assistance experience (required)
• CPR certification (required)
• Proficiency with taking digital x-rays (required)
• Strong communication skills, team spirit, and patient-first mentality

Nice To Haves

• Certification from an accredited Dental Assistant program (preferred)
• Current NY State Dental Assistant license or DANB CDA/ICE/RHS (preferred)
• Working knowledge of Denticon and digital radiography (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Create a warm and comfortable environment for patients from check-in to checkout
• Prepare treatment rooms and assist during chairside procedures
• Take high-quality digital x-rays and ensure accurate charting and recordkeeping
• Sterilize instruments and maintain operatory cleanliness in accordance with OSHA guidelines
• Educate patients on post-op care and oral hygiene techniques
• Manage inventory and ensure supplies are stocked and maintained
• Support administrative flow as needed to enhance patient care delivery
