We are looking for an excellent Dental Assistant to join our Dental Practice! This is a unique opportunity to work in a fun, rapidly growing pediatric dental office where every day is an experience. Requirements

Schooling or Dental Office experience as a Dental Assistant.
Infection Control & XRay certificates required.

Responsibilities

Assisting the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
Infection Control & XRay certificates required.
Taking and developing dental radiographs (x-rays).
Asking about the patient's medical history and taking blood pressure and pulse.
Providing patients with Pre/Post OP instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures, such as the placement of a restoration (filling).
Teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health; (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling).
Taking impressions of patient's teeth for study casts (models of teeth).
Taking needed pre-op/post-op x-rays for necessary insurance. Ex: XB, Space maintainer, etc.
Chart/enter a treatment into Dentrix Ascend software.
