About The Position

Dental Associates of Kendall is seeking a Dental Assistant in Miami, Florida, to support the clinical team and professional dental staff in delivering patient care and treatment. The role is part of a team-based, patient-centered practice focused on patient satisfaction and community dental care. Candidates must have prior dental assisting experience to be considered. The Dental Assistant prepares treatment rooms, sterilizes instruments, assists dentists during procedures, supports patient education and comfort, performs radiography and diagnostic support, and helps maintain accurate records. The role also includes following infection-control and workplace safety requirements and assisting with dental and medical emergencies. Annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection-control training must be maintained as required by law.

Requirements

Prior dental assisting experience.
Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program or six months of on-the-job experience with supporting documentation.
X-ray certification.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection-control training as required by law.

Nice To Haves

Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended.

Responsibilities

Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
Follow infection-control protocols, protect patient confidentiality, and comply with workplace regulations.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake when needed.
Help the dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supplies, and an emergency telephone directory.
