About The Position

Tri-Cities Community Health (TCCH) is seeking passionate and driven Dental Assistants to join their Care Team at the Pasco WIC, Behavioral Health, and Dental Care site. As a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), TCCH is dedicated to providing comprehensive primary care services to underserved populations. Dental Assistants at TCCH provide chairside assistance to dentists, promote direct patient care, conduct x-rays, prepare patients for treatment, and sterilize instruments. The role emphasizes working at the top of one's scope and delivering compassionate, quality patient care, aligning with TCCH's core values of Quality, Respect, and Service.

Requirements

  • Current Dental Assisting Registration certification from the State of Washington required.
  • Must have or obtain current CPR, First Aid, and AED certification within three (3) months of hire.
  • Working knowledge of current dental terminology, equipment, and procedures relating to dentistry required.

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum one (1) year of dental assisting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in all aspects of dental exams and procedures under the supervision of a dentist or Director of Dentistry.
  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of dental instruments, techniques, and procedures.
  • Perform patient care activities in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Perform x-rays and impressions.
  • Maintain cleanliness of all areas of the Dental Department.
  • Obtain clinical privileges if applicable.
  • Assist with dental outreach programs as directed.
  • Follow the organization’s exposure control plans and bloodborne and airborne pathogens protocol.
  • Demonstrate respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment.
  • Work on a team toward surpassing departmental goals and objectives across multiple departments and facilities.
  • Promote positive working relations and work effectively as part of a department/unit intra departmentally to facilitate the department's/unit's ability to meet its goals and objectives.
  • Carry out all other duties as assigned.
