Dental Assistant (Orthodontics)
About The Position
The Smilist is seeking a reliable, friendly, and motivated Orthodontics Assistant to join its growing practice and contribute to providing high-quality dental care in a warm, welcoming, and professional environment. The role requires working in Amherst and West Seneca, New York. The assistant helps patients stay focused on their treatment while addressing their individual concerns, prepares patients and treatment areas, and assists doctors in providing efficient, quality dental care. This is a part-time position scheduled Wednesday through Friday, with a stated salary range of $22.00–$26.00 per hour.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience as a Dental Assistant.
- Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Attention to detail and a positive attitude.
- Must be willing to work in Amherst and West Seneca.
Nice To Haves
- Prior orthodontics experience is strongly preferred.
- Prior Dentrix experience is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while addressing their individual concerns and promoting the positive qualities of their doctor.
- Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where patients feel comfortable.
- Prepare patients for treatment and assist doctors in providing efficient, quality dental treatment.
- Escort patients to and from the front desk.
- Prepare tray setups for dental procedures.
- Maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing supplies as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
