About The Position

St. Louis Children's Hospital is seeking a Certified Dental Assistant to join their team. This is a PRN position requiring a minimum of 3 shifts per 6-week period, with shift times from 6:45 am to 3:00 pm. Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2-5 years of experience
• Dental Assistant Certificate

Nice To Haves

• Associate's Degree in Dentistry
• 5-10 years of experience

Responsibilities

• Performs dental procedures under dentist's direct supervision, in accordance with state laws.
• Has direct patient care responsibilities.
• Assists dentists in providing direct chairside dental care of the patient.
• Accurately documents all pertinent dental information in the patient chart/record.
• Ensures patient information is current in their chart/record.
• Ensures patient care supplies and equipment are kept up to par level and maintained in working order.
• Schedules patient appointments and coordinates dental care referrals as needed.
