Dental Assistant - DA (FT DAY)
About The Position
Centurion Health is seeking a full-time Dental Assistant to join their team at the Idaho State Correctional Center in Kuna, Idaho. Centurion Health provides comprehensive healthcare services to correctional facilities, state hospitals, and other community settings. The Dental Assistant will work under the direct supervision of a Dentist and/or Dental Hygienist, assisting in chairside dentistry within a correctional setting. Responsibilities include preparing and sterilizing dental instruments, maintaining the dental operatory, operating radiographic equipment, and performing administrative tasks as needed. The shift is a 4-10/hour Day Shift, Monday-Thursday from 6:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Requirements
- High school diploma or its recognized equivalent.
- Completion of a technical school program in dental assisting or six months of experience as a dental assistant required.
- Idaho DA license or ability to obtain license.
- Must maintain current tuberculosis screening documentation and active CPR certification.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance, to include drug screen and criminal background check.
Nice To Haves
- Certification as an expanded duty dental assistant preferred; if the candidate does not possess a current certificate, one must be obtained in the first year of employment.
- Certification and/or previous experience performing dental x-rays preferred.
Responsibilities
