Perform all functions related to roles and responsibilities as a dental assistant in the Oral Medicine Service in the management of medically complex patients, including but not limited to chairside dental assisting, exposing digital panoramic and intraoral x-rays, exam room and dental set up, cleaning and turn over, maintenance of the dental units and the Panoramic digital and intraoral x-ray units, computers and monitors; all dental instruments and equipment, consent, review of systems, medication list review and reconciliation, photography, intake, assisting with all elements of each examination type. Chart documentation for procedures. Maintaining floor, room, unit and cart stock of all forms, education materials, dental materials, Maintain the sterile/aseptic chain of infection control, isolation procedures. Completion of forms and scribing of examination during OM visits. Contacting outside providers for previous treatment records and x-rays. Checking isolation lists, maintaining and distributing schedules daily and as changes occur. Provide patient/family education relative to the process, consents, x-ray details. Annual Washington State Registration, appropriate continuing education requirements, compliance with all Washington State and Fred Hutch rules, regulation and educational requirements including but not limited to Blood Borne Pathogens, General Education, HIPPA, Integrity and Compliance, JCAHO. 1.0 FTE Fully Onsite in Downtown South Lake Union - 40 hours per week - Mon through Fri - 8a through 4:30p
