About The Position
The Dental Assistant supports the dentist(s) in delivering efficient, high-quality patient care. This role ensures patients are comfortable, prepared, and supported throughout their visit.
Requirements
- Meet state requirements for Dental Assistant duties
- Hold or obtain applicable certifications, including BLS/CPR and radiography, as required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Detail-oriented
- Organized
- Comfortable using dental software
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment
- Able to follow state regulations and protocols
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while assisting chairside
- Ability to bend, climb stairs, and lift supplies as needed
Nice To Haves
- Bilingual Spanish preferred
- Previous dental assisting experience is preferred but not required
Responsibilities
- Preparing patients and treatment rooms
- Setting up and sterilizing instruments
- Assisting the dentist using four-handed dentistry
- Providing oral hygiene and post-operative instructions
- Maintaining cleanliness and inventory
- Scheduling appointments
- Updating patient records
- Assisting with payment procedures
