Dental Assistant (Saturday Only) - Make a Difference
About The Position
Founded in 1970 as South Philadelphia Health Action and subsequently incorporated as Greater Philadelphia Health Action, GPHA is a non-profit healthcare organization with a commitment to provide compassionate and affordable healthcare services regardless of an individual’s ability to pay. GPHA is one of the largest Dental providers in Philadelphia and Tri-state area. We are presently seeking Dental Assistants for Saturdays only. Qualified candidates must be ambitious, positive, talented, and friendly possessing the ability to multi-task. We are looking for individuals that want to grow and develop with the division. Traveling and rotating Saturdays are required.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- DANB Certification required
- Familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- CPR Certification required
- Must possess the ability to interact with people of diverse cultures and languages effectively to obtain necessary information
Nice To Haves
- One year of dental assisting experience, preferred
Responsibilities
- Chairside dentistry
- Quality diagnostic digital x-rays
- Impressions and model pouring
- Infection control knowledge
- The ability to adapt and understand the needs of the Dentist
