About The Position

Maple Shade Dental of Peoria is looking for a Dental Assistant in Dunlap, IL, to assist our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment. As a Dental Assistant, you are an integral part of the care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. Requirements

One year or more on-the-job-experience (with supporting documentation)
X-Ray certification, required
High school diploma or equivalent
Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.

Nice To Haves

Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended

Responsibilities

Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
Rigorously enforce infection control protocols, meticulously maintain patient confidentiality, and consistently adhere to all workplace and healthcare regulations.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed).
Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
