About The Position
Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a Dental Assistant to join our dynamic team to provide services at the VAMC Lake Nona Medical Center, in Orlando Florida. This is a full-time opportunity, working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 4:30 pm. The position offers consistent and predictable income, paid vacation, and paid sick leave. Requirements
- Successfully completed a one (1) year dental assistant program accredited by the American Dental Association’s Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA).
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a dental assistant.
- Competent in using four-handed dentistry, assisting with specialty procedures such as oral surgery, periodontal therapy, endodontics, prosthodontics and implant placement and restorations.
- A Dental Radiological Certificate
- A current BLS and or/CPR card
Responsibilities
- Perform chairside assistant duties in all phases of dentistry including but not limited to, prosthodontics, periodontics, oral and maxillofacial surgery and endodontics.
- Responsible for receiving routing patients, recording information related to patient care, utilization of all dental programs, and providing patients with education material related to their care.
- Following surgical procedures, provide proper verbal and written post-op instructions.
- Instruct, assist, and answer questions for a variety of dental trainees in the Dental Clinic.
