Requirements
- Great communication skills
- At least 1 year of related experience, specifically in: Dental Office
- Specialized training, license, certification, skills: prefer certificate in Dental Assisting
Responsibilities
- Preparation of dental clinic and dental operatory for treatment procedure
- Assisting patient into dental operatory - escorting, transferring, applying medical safeguard (restraints) when needed
- Review paperwork brought to appointment and ensure health history is present and accessible for provider to review
- Assisting Dentists and Dental Hygienists during patient treatment
- Processing paperwork –consult report ,route slip, recall card
- Expose, process and mount dental radiographs as instructed by Dentist and or per department policy
- Following Department Infection Control Guidelines /Universal Precautions – before/during/after patient treatment
- Review discharge and oral hygiene instruction
- Maintain flow of patients into dental operatories
