About The Position

Webster Dental Care is looking for a part-time Dental Assistant to provide hands-on support to Dentists and Hygienists to complete clinical procedures efficiently. The ideal candidate will have experience with dental instruments and materials, assist in procedures, and maintain a clean environment. They should be friendly, empathetic, and able to put patients at ease. The role involves teamwork, sterilization, and maintaining OSHA standards. Requirements

H.S. Diploma or equivalent
Dental assisting experience & knowledge of dental terminology
Knowledge of health and safety regulations (e.g., HIPAA, OSHA)
Have a flexible schedule
Must be able to communicate effectively

Nice To Haves

Knowledge of Eaflesoft
Experience in periodontics, orthodontia, and pediatric dentistry
Polishing/sealant certified
Admin knowledge/experience
Able to read an insurance benefit breakdown - Understanding of insurance clauses, frequencies and limitations

Responsibilities

Provide four-handed dentistry with standard general dental procedures.
Take necessary diagnostics (e.g., Digital x-rays, impressions, IO photos).
Provide comfort, compassion, and empathy to patients to help ease dental anxiety.
Give verbal post-operative instructions to patients as needed.
Apply diagnosed treatment into patients' chart for easy and accurate treatment presentation.
Maintain operatories to be stocked and clean at all times.
Maintenance of dental equipment.
Help patients understand the value of their oral health and help them schedule appointments.
Sterilization.
Follow and maintain OSHA standards.
