About The Position

Our staffing firm is partnering with an established dental practice in Arlington with an excellent reputation in the community. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant for a 6-month contract position starting as soon as possible. This role offers flexibility in scheduling, with options for part-time or full-time hours, and is located in Arlington.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on dental assisting experience, OR Recent graduate of an accredited dental assisting program
• Knowledge of dental terminology, instruments, and procedures
• Proficiency in taking dental X-rays
• Understanding of infection control and sterilization procedures
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Professional, friendly demeanor with patients of all ages
• Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)

Nice To Haves

• Expanded Functions Dental Assistant (EFDA) certification
• Experience with dental practice management software
• Bilingual English/Spanish

Responsibilities

• Assist dentist during various dental procedures including restorative, endodontic, and surgical treatments
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms
• Take and process dental radiographs (X-rays)
• Prepare materials for impressions and restorations
• Provide chairside assistance and ensure patient comfort throughout procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation
• Manage infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Educate patients on post-treatment care and oral hygiene
• Perform front office duties as needed including scheduling and patient communication
