About The Position

Finley Dental is seeking a skilled and compassionate full-time Dental Assistant to work closely with the dentist and other team members to provide dental care to patients and perform light administrative duties. The small team is cross-trained to help across departments. The position is based at 3130 Sylvania Ave, Toledo, Ohio 43613.

The schedule is Monday 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Tuesday 11:45 a.m.–7:00 p.m., Wednesday and Thursday 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., and every other Friday 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Requirements

• High school graduation or equivalent.
• Chairside dental assisting experience with a wide range of general dentistry procedures.
• CPR certification.
• Computer efficiency for charting and scheduling.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to build lasting relationships with teammates and patients.
• Integrity-focused work ethic.
• Team-player attitude.
• Ability to multitask.
• Openness to new systems and techniques, direction, and feedback.
• Positive attitude and enthusiasm for dentistry and teamwork.

Nice To Haves

• Ohio state X-ray certification is preferred.
• Coronal polish/sealant certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with the dentist and team members to provide dental care to patients.
• Perform light administrative duties.
• Assist chairside with a wide range of general dentistry procedures.
• Follow sterilization protocols in accordance with OSHA regulations.
• Help across departments as part of a cross-trained team.
• Use computers for charting and scheduling.
