About The Position
Lumio Dental is a dental partnership organization dedicated to preserving the integrity of private practice and serving patients in Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska. The Dental Assistant works alongside doctors to provide chairside care for patients. The organization welcomes experienced assistants as well as students seeking their first opportunity. The listed schedule is Monday and Tuesday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m., and Wednesday and Thursday, 7 a.m.–4 p.m.; there is no Friday work. Lumio describes its culture as caring and fun and offers continuing education programs and mentorship.

- Comfort working alongside doctors and providing chairside care for patients.
Nice To Haves
- Prior dental assisting experience; new students seeking a first opportunity are also welcome.
Responsibilities
- Expose dental diagnostic X-rays.
- Record treatment information in patient records.
- Take and record patients’ medical and dental histories and vital signs.
- Clean teeth using dental instruments, including cleaning and polishing removable appliances.
- Apply protective fluoride coating to teeth.
- Fabricate temporary restorations and custom impressions from preliminary impressions.
- Instruct patients in oral hygiene and plaque control programs.
- Pour, trim, and polish study casts.
