Hometown Dental is looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate, and dependable Full-Time Dental Assistant to join our growing team in Canton, Michigan! We are a patient-focused dental practice providing comprehensive family, cosmetic, restorative, implant, orthodontic, and emergency dental care. Our goal is to create a welcoming, comfortable experience for every patient while delivering high-quality dentistry using modern technology.
Requirements
- Previous dental assisting experience preferred
- Dental assisting certification/credentials as required by Michigan regulations
- Strong understanding of infection control and sterilization procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Warm, friendly, and professional personality
- Dependable, organized, and able to work effectively in a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced dental environment
- Commitment to providing exceptional patient care
Responsibilities
- Assisting the dentist during a wide range of dental procedures
- Preparing and maintaining treatment rooms and instruments
- Taking dental X-rays and assisting with digital imaging
- Sterilizing instruments and maintaining infection-control standards
- Providing compassionate chairside support and patient education
- Helping patients feel comfortable and confident throughout their visits
- Preparing materials and instruments for restorative and surgical procedures
- Maintaining accurate clinical documentation
- Supporting the dental team with day-to-day clinical needs
