About The Position

We are seeking a highly experienced, qualified, and caring Dental Assistant to join our team. Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years of dental assisting experience, with a strong preference for 10+ years of experience. The ideal candidate will have current X-ray certification, strong clinical knowledge, excellent patient-care skills, and experience with modern digital dentistry technology. As a Dental Assistant, you will provide exceptional support to the dentist during examinations and a wide range of dental procedures while ensuring our patients feel comfortable, informed, and well cared for. You will also assist with administrative duties, scheduling, and maintaining accurate and complete clinical documentation. We are looking for someone who is friendly, professional, reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to creating an outstanding dental experience for every patient.

Requirements

  • Current X-ray/Radiography certification is required
  • Proven experience assisting with crowns, onlays, root canals, and extractions
  • Experience with Invisalign
  • Experience with digital intraoral scanning
  • Strong ability to write clear, accurate, and professional clinical notes and documentation
  • Strong computer and data-entry skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outstanding patient-care and customer-service skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a busy dental environment
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a professional dental team
  • Commitment to patient confidentiality and following all office policies and regulations

Nice To Haves

  • 10+ years of dental assisting experience preferred
  • Dental assisting degree or associate’s degree is preferred, NOT required
  • Experience with crown design/digital crown workflows is highly desirable
  • PRP/PRP certification is a bonus

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortable and cared for
  • Assist the dentist during examinations, treatment, and procedures
  • Prepare treatment rooms and ensure all sterilized instruments and equipment are ready
  • Take vital signs and accurately document medical and dental histories
  • Discuss treatment plans with patients and answer questions regarding their dental care
  • Provide chairside assistance for a variety of procedures, including: Crowns and onlays, Root canals, Extractions, Invisalign treatments, General restorative and cosmetic procedures
  • Assist with digital intraoral scanning and digital dentistry workflows
  • Assist with crown design and digital crown workflows
  • Prepare and maintain accurate, thorough, and timely clinical documentation and patient notes for procedures and visits
  • Document relevant clinical findings, treatments performed, materials used, patient responses, and post-treatment instructions as directed
  • Ensure clinical records are complete, organized, and maintained according to office standards and applicable regulations
  • Follow strict infection-control, sterilization, health, and safety protocols
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Schedule appointments and assist with administrative duties as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment
  • Provide compassionate, professional, and high-quality patient care
