About The Position

Dental One Associates at Belair is seeking a Dental Assistant in Abingdon, Maryland, to join their clinical team. As an integral part of the care team, the Dental Assistant will support the office and assist professional dental staff with various treatments. Requirements

Prior dental assisting experience
Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program
X-Ray certification - Required
Expanded Duties Dental Assistant - Required
High school diploma or equivalent
Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law

Responsibilities

Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed).
Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.
