Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Dental Assistant program
  • Current Dental Assistant certification in South Dakota
  • 2+ years of dental assisting experience
  • Radiology / X-ray certification or transcripts
  • Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
  • Strong patient care and communication skills
  • Time Management in fast pace dental clinic

Responsibilities

  • Provide chairside dental assisting during procedures
  • Prepare treatment rooms and dental instruments
  • Take and process dental X-rays
  • Maintain patient records in electronic health systems
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
  • Sterilize instruments and maintain infection control standards
