About The Position
Carter Family Dentistry, established in 1973, is a reputable family practice in Boise, ID, with a rich history of providing high-quality oral healthcare. The practice operates out of a spacious 7-operatory clinic and fosters a supportive, patient-centered environment. With an associate doctor joining soon, they are expanding their clinical team and seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant with at least 1 year of experience to grow with the practice.
Requirements
- 1+ years of clinical dental assisting experience (Required).
- Proficient in chairside assisting techniques, instrument sterilization, digital X-rays, and dental terminology.
- High dependability, strong team orientation, empathetic communication skills, and a positive attitude.
Nice To Haves
- Active Dental Radiography (X-Ray) Certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with doctors during general, restorative, and preventive dental procedures.
- Seat patients warmly, review medical histories, explain treatment steps, and maintain a comforting, reassuring chairside presence.
- Take clear, diagnostic digital dental X-rays efficiently.
- Prepare, sanitize, and break down treatment operatories; sterilize instruments in accordance with safety and OSHA guidelines.
- Assist with clinical charting, maintain dental supply inventory, and partner with front desk staff to optimize daily patient flow.
