Requirements

  • Minimum of 1-year experience as a Dental assistant.
  • Dental Assistant schooling is required.
  • Infection Control & X-Ray/Radiation certificate holder required.
  • MUST LOVE WORKING WITH CHILDREN.
  • Excellent communication and computer skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Clean, neat professional appearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Dental Pediatric experience is preferred.
  • CPR/BLS certificate holder preferred.
  • Spanish-bilingual is preferred.
  • Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays).
  • Take patients’ medical history, blood pressure, and pulse.
  • Help patients feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment.
  • Provide Pre/Post OP instructions for oral care following surgery or dental treatment procedures.
  • Teach patients oral hygiene to maintain oral health (e.g., tooth brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling).
  • Take impressions of the patient’s teeth for study casts (models of teeth).
  • Chart/enter a treatment into Dentrix Ascend.
